P4 Three images created to meet client needs

Image One EnCert

EnCert is a new company who have asked for a logo to be designed for their website.

They provide certificates to home buyers to show how 'green' the house is. This is legal requirement for homes sold in the UK with 4 or more bedrooms.

Image requirements
This is too brief, but its suitable for an example.
  • Professional image (meets the 'Cert' part of the name, and the service they provide)
  • Energy (Electricity, blue, red; gas, blue… looking at other logos such as NPower British Gas. Perhaps GREEN for environmental theme.)
  • Selling 4+ bedrooms houses. These people have more money - so the logo can't appear cheap.

Colour requirements. Green must feature, perhaps blue to complement it.

Final
My rough design

Techniques used
The image is basically a text layer with two shap layers (for the curved rectangle).

A number of filters have been added to bevel the shape, making it appear three dimensional. In addition a light effect enhances this further on the blue element.

Evaluation

The image trys to look modern and contemporary buy mimicking resent graphic design/logos using a split colour scheme to highlight the two elements of the company's name.

En is highlighted in green to represent the 'green' element of the company. The cert element is on a blue background, which is meant to suggest formality.

And so on....
